Guided by my two and one-half decades of passion for lasagna, I now have hundreds plus recipes that I developed of the entrée which grew from three iterations in my grass root beginning’s.

I use what I call the "Lasagna Lens" for everything from the dish itself, book-writing, life, business and even relationships. 

My first lasagna was a disaster.  Sauce was everywhere even the ricotta was hiding from me... Lol I've come a long way as now a lasagna expert.  I share my recipes on my You Tube Channel

I share one of my PASTA-LESS Lasagna.  When you don't want to use a pasta noodle, this is an excellent alternative for the lasgana you make!  YUMMY!

 For some people, love can taste like dessert. For others, it’s a pot of tea shared with friends. Ask Sam Peavy, and she’ll say, “lasagna is lots of love.” To show her love this holiday season, “Sam the Lasagna Lady,” as she calls herself, is teaming up with the Norfolk Fire Department and Women’s Club to feed 1,000 families. Sam directs volunteers in the kitchen who are creating some of the recipes she has been developing over the last 25 years. Amanda Skie Gallon, beloved daughter of WCN Member Samantha Peavy, (aka “Sam the Lasagna Lady”) tragically lost her life to gun violence in Chicago, IL. She was 18 years old.

Thus, the Womans Club of Norfolk is proud to offer the Amanda Skie Gallon Scholarship, to be given to a deserving female who has triumphed over challenges and seeks to successfully find her voice, passion and financial security through post-secondary education.

 Samantha is a chef, author and mother. She started cooking lasagna so her family can have healthier, home cooked meals with natural ingredients. Her lasagnas became a family favorite and they encouraged her to distribute the lasagna to businesses. She took her dish to markets, churches and gave it to the homeless. Samantha's lasagnas started in her kitchen and are now sold at Whole Foods Markets.
